One task. One small session.
Use a timer as a boundary for attention.
Choose a task with an edge
Pick one task that fits a short session: outline a page, review a paragraph or organise a small set of notes. Decide what you will work on before starting the timer. A clear starting point is more useful than a perfect duration.
Set a comfortable length
The timer starts at 25 minutes, and accepts any whole number from 1 to 120. This is a convenience setting, not a recommended schedule. Choose a length that suits your task and circumstances.
Pause when you need to
Start begins the countdown. Pause holds the remaining time, Resume continues it and Reset returns to your selected duration. Changing the duration starts a fresh session. The countdown continues while the tab is in the background, but the browser can delay visual updates while sleeping.
Leave a useful stopping point
When the session ends, the page displays “Session complete”. No sound, notification permission or external alert is used. Note where you stopped and decide your next step. This timer is a lightweight convenience tool and should not be used for safety-critical timing.
